Phases Of Matter
Gas
When matter is in the phase of gas, the molecular forces are very very weak. The molecules are moving rapidly and are very far apart. They are not compact like the phase of a solid. The molecules can move past one another, unlike a solid, and there is a lot of free space inbetween the molecules. More examples of the phase of gas are: water vapor, nitrogen, and the gases we breathe.
